Job Summary: 

The Director, Digital Strategy, will be responsible for the strategic development of digital media opportunities with current clients, both domestically and globally, as well as the management/oversight of the media planning, buying, implementation, and performance analysis. You will play a critical role in the strategic development of new campaigns, proposals and best practices to grow Blue Chip Digital’s Digital capabilities. The DDS works closely with, and reports directly to, the VP of Digital.

• Demonstrate the mission, vision, values and culture principles of BC Worldwide
• Partner with the VP, Digital Strategy to improve process and collaboration for the overall Digital Strategy team
• Collaborate with the Digital team and agency cross-functional teams on the development of digital marketing campaign concepts and strategies for clients; be able to speak to the unique ways different digital strategies work within a campaign structure
• Identify and understand client objectives, challenges and needs as it relates to Digital
• Collaborate in new business opportunities including the development of the strategic approach for solving the overall business challenge
• Actively participate in long range and short range strategic planning for existing clients
• Responsible for sales material development, proposal development, Digital media plans, presentation development (including the development of comprehensive contracts to support our formal Digital proposals)
• Maintain constant dialogue with agency counterparts and account teams to ensure Digital has a seat at the table during critical client brainstorms, pitches and to ensure learnings are applied from past campaigns into future growth recommendations
• Maintain Knowledge of changing digital landscape by networking, meeting and building relationships with new Digital vendor partners, etc., understanding the benefits between working with different vendors and be able to clearly provide strategic rationale for all vendor recommendations
• Collaborate with Department Heads on proposal development and planning to ensure recommendations are fully integrated
• Acts as a mentor to the members of the account team on digital marketing and best practices
• Must be able to travel occasionally overnight and on weekends
• Responsible for maintaining self and direct reports weekly time tracking, per the Agency’s time tracking policy
• Flexible hours may be required to accommodate global clients

Education, Experience and Certifications
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
• 10+ years in Digital Marketing
• Global Digital Media experience a plus
• Experience building best-in-class digital media plans
• Experience writing and selling in proposals/plans for digital marketing efforts
• Experience with direct response oriented Digital media campaigns
• Management experience
